Course Amendments for 2026

As part of our annual review and continuous improvement, we have made the following updates to our existing courses. Learners who are already registered and have not yet completed will see the updated version.

Updated UK CAA Training Requirements

In December 2025, the UK CAA have published a new version of CAP483, Training in the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air. This document details the UK’s national authority approach to the training of dangerous goods.

It confirms that CAA approval is not required (and cannot be obtained) for the dangerous goods awareness courses we provide ground handling agents, FBOs, and airports. (see CAP483 1.3 & Part B 1.8, 1.9)

Our courses may be used as part of an operator (airline) dangerous goods training programme for flight crew, cabin crew, or ground staff employed directly by the operator, with approval by the CAA. Operators can contact us for support with the design or submission of dangerous goods training programme to the CAA.

All ATC Training dangerous goods courses are compliant with IATA DGR 1.5, and bespoke versions of our courses can be developed upon request.

Coming Soon: Courses for Shippers and Acceptance Staff

We are pleased to be working with Irvine Meres Limited, a CAA-approved dangerous goods training provider, to develop new courses for shippers and acceptance staff (previously known as category 6). We expect the courses to be available from April 2026.
