The Aircraft Loading Supervision course is designed to equip personnel responsible for the safe unloading and loading of aircraft with the necessary knowledge and skills. This course incorporates content from our aircraft loading/unloading course and our weight and balance course, building a solid understanding of aircraft loading principles and guidance for dealing wth a wide range of loading scenarios.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the role of an aircraft loading supervisor.
- Recognise the importance of aircraft weight and balance limitations.
- Identify general loading principles and special loads.
- Complete the loading instruction report (LIR).
- React appropriately in an emergency situation.
Assessment
This course includes short multiple-choice quizzes that must be completed online and graded immediately, with a passing score of 80%. If you fail, you can re-attempt it, and tutor support can be provided upon request.
A competency assessment template is also provided, which can be completed in the workplace to complement the knowledge certificate.
Suitability
Who should do this course?
This course is aimed at loading supervisors. This role may be known as a Ramp Lead, Leading Hand, or Ramp Team Leader. The Aircraft Loading Supervision role may also be incorporated into the role of a Turnaround Coordinator.
Pre-requisites
This course is suitable for those with no prior knowledge of loading supervision. To access the content, learners must have access to the Internet and an individual email address.
Although this course may be purchased by those with no experience, practical application of this course will require completion of mandatory topics such as Dangerous Goods Awareness, Airside Safety, Manual Handling, etc.
Aircraft Loading Supervisors typically have a minimum of 12 months of experience in a ramp-based role and are already trained on ramp functions, including aircraft hold doors, baggage handling, and airside driving.
